Remembering our WW1 heroes through art and archives in Upper Clatford
A huge thank you to all who worked so hard and contributed so much to the event at All Saints church last weekend, to commemorate the centenary of the Armistice. The displays we informative, moving and beautiful as they each honoured local people in different ways. It was wonderful to have had so many different community groups involved and so many visitors who really appreciated the experience. |
Jazz in the Garden
We have been delighted to present cheques to each of our local Church of England schools, each for £1850 along with £1,000 to Countess of Brecknock Hospice. This is as a result of the wonderful Jazz in the Garden, hosted by Jane and Tom Wilson and instigated by Martin Jourdan. The schools were delighted and both have plans to put the funds towards developing their outdoor spaces to enrich the learning of the children in our community. Thanks to all who came and supported this wonderful event.

Celebration of Marriage
On Saturday 28th July, we Celebrated Marriage, with an exhibition of wedding dresses, cream teas, bell-ringing and organ playing, rounded off with a special service in thankfulness for marriage. Here are a selection of photos taken from the day. Click on the first photo to view the gallery.
